Ten checks you can run yourself, today.

This is most of what our $750 audit looks for. If you have an afternoon and some patience you can do a rough version of it without us, and we would rather you did that than bought something you did not need.

01
Does your brand resolve to one thing?

Search your brand name in ChatGPT and Perplexity. If either describes a different company, or hedges with "there are several", your entity is ambiguous. That single defect suppresses everything downstream.

02
Is your Organization schema complete?

View source on your homepage and find the JSON-LD. It needs name, url, logo, description and a sameAs array pointing at your real social profiles. A name and url alone is not an identity.

03
Does your pricing exist as text?

If your prices live inside an image or load via JavaScript after paint, no engine can read them. Right-click, view source, search for the number.

04
Do you answer the question, or talk around it?

Take the ten questions a buyer actually asks before choosing. Does a page on your site answer each one in the first paragraph, in plain words? Most brands answer none of them directly.

05
Are the AI crawlers allowed in?

Open yourdomain.com/robots.txt. Look for GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, OAI-SearchBot and Google-Extended. Plenty of sites block these by accident, having copied a robots file from somewhere.

06
Is there an llms.txt?

Not a ranking factor, and a growing number of engines read it. A plain-text summary of what you sell, who it suits and what you will not claim. Ours is at /llms.txt if you want the shape.

07
Does your product feed validate?

In Search Console, open Shopping then Merchant listings. Any invalid items are products an engine cannot price or compare.

08
Can a machine tell you apart from your nearest competitor?

Ask an engine to compare you against them. If it invents attributes, or attributes theirs to you, there is no clean separation in what it has read.

09
Does your visibility survive without search?

Ask the same buying question twice, once with web search on and once off. Whatever disappears is rented. This is the one nobody checks, and it is usually the worst score on the sheet.

10
Is anyone watching this monthly?

All of the above drifts. A site migration, a theme update, one careless robots edit. If nobody re-runs it, you will find out from a sales figure rather than a report.

Score yourself out of ten. Under four and there is real work to do. Between four and seven and you have a maintenance problem rather than a build problem. Above seven and you probably do not need us, which is a perfectly good outcome for both of us.

Want it done properly?

45 prompts, five engines, the rented and owned split, and an itemised score. Five working days.
